An 11-year-old boy wakes up at 5am every Monday, to start his 15km journey to school from China’s Jiangxi province to Guangdong province. Since Xiao Teng’s father works in Shenzhen, a city which is 267km away, Chen can only see his son off through the lens of a security camera.
