CGTN launched its first Global Action Initiative special program with a focus on poverty alleviation.
The Global Action Initiative is dedicated to addressing the world’s most pressing issues through mutual understanding, showcasing positive outcomes, and offering solutions to help people from small communities.
The first day of the event included multiple speakers from organizations such as the China Media Group, the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund, as well as a former Nobel Peace Prize laureate. The speakers addressed multiple topics related to global poverty including global hunger, climate change and China’s successful efforts to lift large portions of its population out of poverty.
