The 40th fleet of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy on Friday took over the escort mission in the Gulf of Aden and the waters off Somalia from the 39th fleet. The two fleets separated in the central Gulf of Aden after completing task handover and joint escort mission.
