China successfully launched three new remote sensing satellites into orbit atop a Long March-2 carrier rocket on June 23. The satellites will mainly be used for scientific experiments, surveying land resources, estimating agricultural production, and in disaster prevention and mitigation. This mission is the 424th of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
