Brazil debates Rousseff’s future ahead of impeachment vote

The Brazilian Congress is holding a second day of debate over the future of President Dilma Rousseff.

Her supporters have rallied in the capital, Brasilia, led by her predecessor Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

The lower house will vote on Sunday on whether Rousseff should face impeachment proceedings.

She is accused of manipulating budget accounts during her re-election campaign in 2014.

Al Jazeera’s Lucia Newman reports from Brasilia.
