Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said Friday he doesn’t think President Donald Trump’s in-person campaigning has “helped him very much,” adding, “every time he goes out his numbers go down.”
He made the remarks during a virtual town hall with Pete Buttigieg on May 22, during which he criticized Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic and said “[Trump] continues to startle me every day with the foolish things he says.”
