Sydney’s path out of lockdown remains unclear. There is a small step forward for thousands of construction workers this morning. They can now leave their hot-spot suburbs and return to work, as long as they’ve had at least one jab. It’s a glimmer of hope, but there’s no end in sight to the restrictions crippling the city. And this morning Melbourne remains in lockdown limbo, with restrictions unlikely to be lifted tomorrow, after a surge in exposure sites. Half of the new cases are linked to a shopping centre in the city’s western suburbs.
