Guardian News published this video item, entitled “AOC escorted by police as she joins pro-abortion rights protests” – below is their description.
Democratic lawmaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was escorted by police on Friday as she walked the short distance separating the Capitol and the Supreme Court buildings in Washington DC to join pro-abortion right groups protesting the dramatic ruling of overturning the landmark 1973 Roe v Wade case that recognised a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion. Ocasio-Cortez addressed the crowd amid chaos through a bullhorn calling for people to go ‘into the streets’ and ‘keep abortion safe and legal.’ Ocasio-Cortez returned to the Capitol surrounded by security, cameras and protesters from both sides of the abortion issue.
