Sky News published this video item, entitled “Angela Rayner mocks Oliver Dowden as Deputy PM goads Labour over Lib Dem coalition plan” – below is their description.
Angela Rayner and Oliver Dowden exchanged barbs during PMQs this afternoon.
The Deputy Labour leader opened her set of questions with a dig at the government.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome yet another Deputy Prime Minister to the despatch box,” she said.
She also poked fun at Rishi Sunak for a clip from many years ago, saying: “The Prime Minister has a working class friend, finally.”
She then noted that after 300 Conservative seats were lost at the local elections last year, Oliver Dowden resigned as party chair.
Mr Dowden hit back and said it was a “pleasure” to be there, and made a gag about a potential coalition after the next election: “I was, though, expecting to face the Labour leader’s choice for the next Deputy Prime Minister if they win the election, so I’m surprised the Lib Dem leader isn’t taking questions today.”
