$4tn plan to eliminate US budget deficit faces scrutiny

A budget plan released by the White House aims to eliminate the US budget deficit after 10 years.

The $4.1tn-proposal is based on making deep cuts to programmes that help the poor, and by eliminating foreign aid grants.

Republican and Democrat politicians have reacted with scepticism.
