120,000 UK deaths in second Covid wave: scientists warn of worst-case scenario – BBC News

Scientists have warned that a second wave of coronavirus cases in the UK could result in 120,000 more deaths, in a worst-case scenario.

The report says the virus is likely to be more dangerous in the winter because it can survive longer in colder conditions and is more likely to spread when people spend more time indoors.

Sophie Raworth presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Health Editor Hugh Pym.
