Paris Fashion Week: Dévastée Spring Summer 2014 Collection

Dévastée is the brainchild of Ophelie Klere & Francois Alary. The new collection for Spring Summer 2014 features a wide array of monochrome prints. Cutesy techno details are contrasted against traditional blouse cuts and black hats.

Sinister smiling characters weave in among the playful doodles. Gravestones, churches and hearts all feature in the designs, while turned up cuffs and prominent collars place this collection firmly in the French fashion heritage.

The loose fabrics and smart detailing makes this a forgiving and casual collection for fashion followers looking to spruce up a Spring wardrobe with a gothic, punky piece.

There are, however, some very feminine pieces which could be mixed and matched for an entirely different effect – the transparent black coat, a monochrome tartan pattern mac, sillk scarves and a modernised French maid dress all offer exciting alternatives for ladies dipping a toe in the Dévastée line.
