Paris Fashion Week: Christine Phung – Spring Summer 2014

Christine Phung celebrated a light and airy collection for 2014 with a stunning fashion show against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. From stately maxi dresses to punchy skirt suits, Phung had a likeable answer to every Spring wardrobe need.

Using every tool in the design box, from pleating to panelling, plain geometric shapes to sparkling stone detailing, Phung demonstrates a depth of talent and an appetite for broad horizons.

Christine Phung was raised in France by a Cambodian father and a French mother. She studied fashion design at the École Duperré, and at the Institut Français de la Mode and has worked for companies including Christophe Lemaire, Chloé, Vanessa Bruno, Lacoste and Baby Dior.

In 2008, she exhibited her designs at the Musée d’Art Moderne in Liège for its Biennale du Design show. Phung won the Grand Prix of design for the City of Paris in 2011 and was a finalist in 2012 Mango Fashion Awards. In 2013 she won the ANDAM price in the category “Premières Collections”.
