A Canadian man who has been behind bars for decades is applying for parole. Many from Kingston, Ont., remember the horrific crimes of murder and sexual assault by Richard Charles Joyce.

Joyce is serving a life sentence for his role in the vicious murder of Margaret Yvonne Rouleau, a mother of three. He then pleaded guilty to charges related to the kidnapping and sexual assault of three girls, ages nine and 11. He received a 10-year sentence for one of the girls and a 12-year sentence for the other two girls.

Kerri Kehoe, one of the three girls, recalls heading to Kingston Memorial Centre for a swim in the summer of 1990, but she never made it. She was abducted and taken to a forest where she was forced to perform sexual acts. And now, Kehoe is fighting to keep Joyce behind bars, as he gets set to seek parole in September.

Caryn Lieberman has the details.
