Former Destiny’s Child singer, Kelly Rowland, has reach number 6 in the US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts with “Motivation”. The song is a slow, quiet and explicit ode to the act of congress. Selling 123,000 copies, the single has had more than 10 million views on VEVO.
For the music video, Rowland wore a revealing purple leotard – a marked departure from her girl band days. The short was directed by Sarah Chatfield, choreographed by Frank Gatson, and styled by Lysa Cooper. The video features a host of writhing bodies as well as male dancers stripped to the waist and moving in close unison across the polished floors of a disused warehouse.
Ne-Yo, RedOne and David Guetta have all worked on the third album from Kelly Rowland which is scheduled for release in late 2011.
