A new book by Joslin Fiennes explores the beauty and history of Dartmouth, a port on the South coast of England.

Through selected artworks and extracts, Fiennes delves into the rich tapestry of the town’s past, including the departure of the Pilgrim Fathers in the Mayflower and Speedwell as well as the “Frigate on the Hill”, otherwise known as the Britannia Royal Naval College.

192 colour images and 93 black and white pictures make this book enchanting in itself. A touching coffee table addition for those with fond memories of this charming coastal locality.

“Dartmouth – An Enchanted Place” is published by Antique Collectors’ Club, in association with Richard Webb, and will be available from September 2013.
