This Morning published this video item, entitled “How Can the Government Make Women Safer in the Wake of #ReclaimTheseStreets? | This Morning” – below is their description.
Over the last week we’ve seen an outpouring of grief, support, and anger following the murder of 33-year-old Sarah Everard, who disappeared whilst walking home from a friends house in South West London on the 3rd of March. Following a weekend which saw police clash with those gathering to remember Sarah, we’re joined today by Labour MP Harriet Harman who hopes this horrific incident can bring about real change for women’s safety on the streets. We’ll also be hearing from women’s rights campaigner Soma Sara, who started a viral campaign for women to share their stories of sexual harassment, and says now is the time for us to #ReclaimTheseStreets.
