The second trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder has arrived, and Marvel fans finally have their first look at Christian Bale’s villain, Gorr the God Butcher. This deadly serial killer hunts gods, and it’s going to take an alliance between two thunder gods to bring him down.
Gorr is a relatively recent addition to the Marvel Comics universe, but he’s a villain who’s had a profound imapct on Thor’s life. Let’s take a closer look at Gorr’s comic book history, including his powers and his trademark weapon, All-Black the Necrosword. We also explore how Gorr may fit into the plot of Love and Thunder and why Jane Foster may be the key to defeating the God Butcher.
Thor: Love and Thunder also stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tessa Thompson as King Valkyrie, Taika Waititi as Korg and Russell Crowe as Zeus. The film opens in theaters on July 8, 2022.
