Cancer Research UK has been criticised for a new advertisement campaign which features a mocked-up packet of cigarettes, with the words – ‘obesity causes cancer too’. But despite new reports that obesity is the biggest cause of four common cancers, some have criticised the campaign for fat-shaming. But is the criticism justified? Vanessa Feltz says no, while plus-size body coach Michelle Bell says the campaign is unhelpful and offensive, plain and simple.
