Dave Lapham In The Trenches published this video item, entitled “Zac Taylor Postgame | Guys Stepped Up – Team Effort In 23-10 Win Over The Browns” – below is their description.
Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor knows it took his offense and defense to scratch and claw to earn their ninth win of the season, 23-10, over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at Paycor Stadium.
Quarterback Joe Burrow may not have been his sharpest against a team he’d yet to beat, but he got the job done by finding his main target, Ja’Marr Chase, ten times for 119 yards and a touchdown as Chase looked in top form in his second game back from a hip injury that sidelined him for four weeks.
Running back Joe Mixon had missed the last two games but looked fresh, rushing 14 times for 96 yards, while running mate Samaje Perine carried four times for 22 yards and a score.
But Taylor knows the defense game plan put together by his defensive staff led by coordinator Lou Anarumo, had dialed it up, shutting down the Browns’ running attack of Nich Chubb and Kareem Hunt, who combined for 18 carries and 40 yards. The play of D.J. Reader and Sam Hubbard up front, linebacker Logan Wilson, and the secondary play of Cam Taylor-Britt, Vonn Bell, and Jessie Bates, who added his third interception of the season, was huge in the final outcome.
Following the game, Zac Taylor held a press conference to speak with the media about the Bengals’ latest victory.
