Cincinnati Bengals new starting safety Nick Scott joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham. This is Nick’s first appearance on the show as he tells us why he chose to sign with the Bengals in the offseason and how excited he is to get the season rolling.
Nick’s interview was right before the first game against the Cleveland Browns so sadly he and Lap didn’t go over the disappointing loss in the season opener. Nick had a really good debut though, co-leading the team in tackles with Germaine Pratt with 11 tackles and Nick also had some nice plays in coverage. The defense overall played a solid game, forcing two turnovers and holding Deshawn Watson to only 154 passing yards. The two new safeties overall played a solid first game with Dax Hill coming up with one of those turnovers with an interception in the second half. If we know Lou Anarumo and this Bengals defense we know they will continue to get better as the season progresses.
