Cincinnati Bengals defense coordinator Lou Anarumo joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham. Lou and Lap go over the good and the bad from Sunday’s loss against the Cleveland Browns and preview the Bengals week 2 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

Lou’s defense had its ups and downs against the Cleveland Browns but for the most part, they played well enough to win. They lead the turnover battle 2-0 which is always a huge part of winning football and also had three sacks and numerous good hits on Deshawn Watson. The defense played well especially with two new starters in the secondary Nick Scott and Dax Hill with Hill getting a huge interception in the third quarter. DJ Turner the rookie 2nd round pick had to play a lot of snaps as well with Chido playing about half the snaps because of his torn ACL last season. Lou was encouraged which is always a great sign because all Bengal fans know this defense will just continue to get better and better as the season progresses.

We want to thank Lou for coming on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham brought to you by First Star Logistics and we can’t wait to watch his defense help the Bengals get their first win of the season this Sunday!
