eToro Global Markets Strategist Ben Laidler joins Yahoo Finance Live anchors Brad Smith and Rachelle Akuffo to discuss investor expectations for upcoming IPOs. “They’re going to want to see real dollars and cents, real cash flows,” Laidler says. “We saw in 2021, at the top of the cycle, a lot of companies with a hope and a dream with no cash flow coming to market.” Laidler notes the demand for U.S. stock as the main contributor for why the U.S. has the “highest valuation multiples in the world.” For profit-generating tech companies like Arm and Instacart, Laidler believes “it all depends on the valuations, and we’ll see how forgiving the markets are.”
