Yahoo Finance published this video item, entitled “Consumer confidence falls for third straight month” – below is their description.
The Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index fell in October, the third consecutive month of declines. The index fell to 102.6, down from an upwardly revised 104.3 in September. The Conference Board’s Chief Economist Dana Peterson said in the release that “”write-in responses showed that consumers continued to be preoccupied with rising prices in general, and for grocery and gasoline prices in particular,”” adding that consumers were also concerned about politics, higher interest rates, and the situation in the Middle East.
