Elon Musk Unveils Tesla Model Y Plan at Shanghai Gigafatory

Jan.07 — Elon Musk presided over a ceremony to mark the delivery of its made-in-China Model 3s to customers. Musk also introduced the Model Y crossover for the Chinese market, saying that demand for the vehicle will probably outstrip that of Tesla’s
all other models combined. Other plans include forming a design-and-engineering center in China so that Tesla can eventually develop a brand new car from there, he said. Bloomberg’s Selina Wang has the details live at the Shanghai Gigafactory on “Bloomberg Markets: European Open.”
