BNEF Brief: How the Global Travel, Visa Bans Are Hitting the Jet Fuel Market

Mar.12 — A U.S. ban on Schengen area flights issued on March 11 may disrupt over 180,000 b/d of jet fuel demand. On “Bloomberg Commodities Edge”, Bloomberg’s Alix Steel talks with David Doherty, oil demand specialist at BloombergNEF. More than 50,000 barrels per day (b/d) of jet fuel demand is at risk after India restricted visas for all non-nationals on March 12. The ban will remain in place until April 15.
