Football: UEFA Champions League Results Wed 20th October 2010

UEFA Champions League group phase football took place this evening, with some eventful matches featuring some of Europe’s greats.

Tottenham Hotspur found life rather difficult in the opening exchanges away at Inter Milan – they found themselves 3-0 down with ten men after just 14 minutes before falling further behind and staging a second half fightback. The eventual result was 4-3 to the Italian hosts.

Elsewhere, Barcelona played out a good 2-0 home win against FC Copenhagen, while Manchester United won another European tie 1-0 against Bursaspor at Old Trafford.

Shalke and Lyon both recorded good victories, while Glasgow Rangers will perhaps be a little disappointed to have ended 1-1 with Valencia after going a goal ahead during a dominant opening half.
