Dave Lapham In The Trenches published this video item, entitled “Bengals QB Joe Burrow Postgame | Never Going To Apologize For Winning” – below is their description.
The weather in Foxborough (Mass.) was warmer than in Southwest Ohio on Saturday afternoon, but Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow opened the Bengals’ Week 16 match-up against the New England Patriots hot, leading the Bengals to a 22-0 lead at the half.
While fans were ready for Burrow and the Bengals to rout Bill Belichick’s squad, much like the weather, the Bengals went cold when it was time to find the endzone for the remainder of the game.
Burrow and the Bengals held on to win 22-18, giving them their seventh consecutive win and capping a perfect November and December.
Burrow would finish with 375 yards on 40 of 52 passing and three touchdowns. However, he also tossed two costly interceptions, including one returned by Patriots rookie Marcus Jones for 69 yards for a touchdown giving Belichick’s squad hope of making a comeback.
In the end, Burrow would watch as the Bengals’ defense stepped up and saved the game as D.J. Reader stood up Rhamondre Stevenson while Vonn Bell knocked out the ball as B.J. Hill made the recovery.
After the game, Burrow stressed he was never going to apologize for winning a game.
