Sky News published this video item, entitled “Tourette’s tics reduced using electrical wrist device” – below is their description.
More than 300,000 people in the UK have Tourette’s syndrome which causes people to make involuntary sounds and movements, known as tics.
These symptoms have been reduced using the Neupulse device, which delivers electrical stimulation directly into nerves in the wrist.
Singer Lewis Capaldi was among the 121 people who trialled the new technology developed at the University of Nottingham, after recently sharing his own Tourette’s diagnosis.
