The United States and the UK launched strikes from the air and sea against Houthi military targets in Yemen on January 12, 2024. Hours after the air strikes, Yemeni people held demonstrations in many places in the country.

CGTN stringer Yousef Mawry came to Sabeen Square in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, where a large-scale demonstration held by thousands of people. He cited the statement by Yahya Saree, spokesman of Yemen’s Houthi armed forces, who said the air strikes will not stop Yemen’s military operations in the Red Sea, and Yemen will fight back with drones and missiles.
