Russia launched a massive air attack on Ukraine on Tuesday, with waves of missiles during the morning rush hour, striking residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, Ukraine officials said, leaving at least one person dead and 33 people wounded.

“Kyiv was hit with a combined attack of Shahed drones, cruise missiles, hypersonic missiles Kinzhal.” Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

Ukraine’s air defence systems were engaged in repelling “most of” Russia’s drone attack in the region surrounding Kyiv.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy vowed a response, saying “Russia will answer for every life taken away.”
