During the 21st Doha Forum in Doha, Qatar, the Palestinian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Husam Zomlot, passionately argued for a historical perspective on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. He stated, “The United Kingdom, Great Britain, has contributed to the situation that we live in today. It is the Balfour Declaration 106 years ago that has promised our land with that colonial arrogance, without consulting us.” He pointed out that “It was started by global powers and continued by the U.S.”
