Singer-songwriter and activist Billy Bragg has responded to Oliver Anthony’s controversial country song Rich Men North of Richmond which made US chart history.

Mr Bragg rewrote the hit song to address “troubling” remarks about the abuse of the welfare system and to encourage him to join a union.
