Officials in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Thursday said four people, including two Chinese nationals, were killed in an attack on a gold mining camp. Ten others were still unaccounted for. The attack took place on Wednesday in Ituri province. An army spokesman from the DRC said the attack was launched by a group claiming to defend one of the province’s ethnic groups, the Lendu. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has asked authorities to investigate the attack.
