The first of three super moons expected this summer occurs on Tuesday night. Sky watchers can feast their eyes on the spectacular view. The moon will look larger and brighter than usual because it will be at its closest orbit to Earth, like a gigantic jade disk hanging over our planet, illuminating the inky night sky. This month’s full moon is the lowest of its kind in 2022.
June’s full moon is commonly known as the “strawberry” moon, a name originating from the Algonquin Native American tribe in northeast U.S. and east Canada, and refers to the short strawberry harvesting season in the region. Follow us to enjoy the amazing view!
