CGTN published this video item, entitled “Live: China’s first expressway underwater hub helps promote the development of Greater Bay Area” – below is their description.
Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge is located in the core area of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As the first expressway underwater hub interconnection in China, it integrates “bridges, islands, tunnels, and underwater intercommunication.” At present, the bridge project with a total length of 17.2 kilometers has been closed, and the construction of the 6,845-meter-long and deep channel sub-sea tunnel has entered the final sprint stage. Until now, the final joint of the Shenzhong Channel was pushed successfully, and the sub-sea tunnel was closed.
This marvelous infrastructure will help promote the integrated development of the east and west sides of the Pearl River, and build a circular and smooth Greater Bay Area.
