A group of hikers filmed the moment a huge avalanche swept down a mountain in Kyrgyzstan towards them.

Harry Shimmin, who was trekking on a nearby trail and filmed the incident, at first appeared unphased at the wave of ice which had broken off the mountain.

As the avalanche approached the group, he quickly ducked under a formation of rocks and managed to escape serious injury
