The Telegraph published this video item, entitled “French government mocked for MLK tribute featuring only white kids” – below is their description.
A video meant to pay tribute to Martin Luther King Junior’s “I have a dream” speech created by the national ministry of education has drawn outrage and mockery for featuring only white kids.
Published to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the civil rights leader’s famous speech calling for an end to racism, the one-minute video features five kids, all white, speaking in English about their dreams for a greener planet, and equal rights.
“I dream of a world where we are all equal,” says Léo, 14. “Boys, girls, women, men, tall, small, fat, slim, Christian, Muslim.”
