Chinese state media have reported that the death toll from a coal mine collapse in northern China has risen to six as of February 24, 2023. The accident happened on February 22 in the Chinese autonomous region of Inner Mongolia. A large-scale operation under way has rescued six people so far, with 47 still missing. Officials say the investigation into the cause of the collapse is continuing.
