For more:
Since its doors swung open in 1891, New York’s Carnegie Hall has set the standard for musical excellence as one of the world’s most aspirational destinations for the performing arts. When Douglas Beck joined the staff of Carnegie Hall’s Weil Music Institute in 2011, he oversaw the Hall’s wide range of intensive workshops and masterclasses offered to young professional musicians. During Beck’s recent trip to Beijing, we caught up with him as he reflected on the importance of exposing young artists to different cultures.
