ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “After a period of peace, the streets of Wadeye are once again a battle zone | ABC News” – below is their description.
Violent unrest has been flaring in the Northern Territory’s largest Aboriginal community of Wadeye, with more than 30 arrests made since December.
It comes just months after leaders gathered calling for an end to the decades-long conflict, raising questions about the underlying issues causing the upheaval, and how lasting peace can eventually be found.
ABC reporter Roxanne Fitzgerald travelled to the embattled community for this special report.
