Tonight the Foreign Office said there was a high threat of a terrorist attack in Afghanistan – shortly after the American State department gave more details about why it wants US troops out by Tuesday.
The Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, warned of a possible attack by what he called ISIS-K, an Afghan off-shoot of the so called Islamic State based mainly in Khorasan province.
ITV News’ Global Security Editor Rohit Kachroo travelled to that part of Eastern Afghanistan three years ago, and tonight assesses the threat the group poses.
