Star Citizen in Selling a $48,000 Ship Bundle…With a Catch – IGN Daily Fix

IGN published this video item, entitled “Star Citizen in Selling a $48,000 Ship Bundle…With a Catch – IGN Daily Fix” – below is their description.

In today’s Daily Fix:

Star Citizen hasn’t even been officially released (will it ever?) but it’s already milking its backers for all their money with the latest offer. Gamers with a lot of cash to burn can buy a ship bundle worth a cool $48,000 dollars, but ONLY if you’ve already spent money on the game. The exact amount you need to spend isn’t confirmed as of yet, but some are saying you need to spend around $10K. Yup, you need to spend ten thousand dollars for the chance to spend forty-eight thousand dollars. You are getting around 175 ships in this bundle, if that makes the price seem more reasonable. In other more affordable news, Portal 2 is getting a mod that adds 40 new puzzles and an eight-hour story mode. And it’s available today, so get downloading. And finally, Surgeon Simulator developer Bossa Studios is the latest victim of the wavbe of layoffs plaguing the games industry. The company has laid off about a third of their staff. We wish all those affected the best of luck out there.
