The Government of Singapore has invested in a “multimillion dollar” contract for High Speed Aerial Target Drones from the California-based engineering company, Composite Engineering Inc..
The Ministry of Defence in Singapore has agreed the purchase of BQM-167Xi target drones along with supporting logistics, spares, training and ground support equipment. The high subsonic sub-scale aerial target system is a variant of the drone package recently selected by the US Navy.
6 metres long and with a wingspan of 3.3 metres, the comparative BQM-167A can withstand up to 9 g’s, maintain flights for over 3 hours and carry payloads on each wing.
