Daily Mail published this video item, entitled “‘We need to send a strong signal’: Rishi Sunak responds to Houthi attack” – below is their description.
Rishi Sunak insisted the UK and US – along with allies including Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands – had no choice about acting to counter the escalating problems in the Red Sea. The RAF launched targeted strikes against Houthi military facilities following attacks on British and American navy vessels, drawing dire threats of retaliation from the militants . The president of Nato member Turkey accused the US and UK of trying to turn the Red Sea into a ‘sea of blood’. After the night of extraordinary drama and intense international discussions, Mr Sunak headed straight for Kyiv for talks with Volodymyr Zelensky. And he dismissed doubts about the action, telling reporters: ‘We won’t hesitate to protect lives and ensure the safety of commercial shipping.’
