Sports stars, including Ian Thorpe, Jess Fox & Dan Carter, have turned out for the official launch of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Sydney this morning. To kick off the cup, a helicopter carrying a giant soccer ball made its way over the city to Tamarama beach. Marks Park was transformed into a giant football pitch for the launch. It will be the first ever 32 team FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The action begins on the 20th July when New Zealand plays Norway and Australia takes on Ireland.
