Volodymyr Zelensky has asked revellers at Glastonbury festival to donate to Ukraine’s war effort, warning that “time is priceless and every day is measured in human lives”.
In a speech to the crowds ahead of The Libertines’ set, Mr Zelensky urged fans to “spread the truth about Russia’s war” and directed them to the United24 initiative he set up to collect donations to Ukraine.
Mr Zelensky said that Ukraine will not “let Russia’s war break us”, adding: “That is why I turn to you for support, Glastonbury… and I ask you to share this feeling with everyone whose freedom is under attack.
