CGTN published this video item, entitled “What will China’s newly-proposed ‘unified domestic market’ achieve?” – below is their description.
For more:
The prolonged pandemic and the #Russia-#Ukraine conflict, among other domestic and international challenges, have brought downward pressure on the Chinese economy. Premier #LiKeqiang has reiterated the importance of economic stability in recent meetings, giving hope of more policy support ahead. How will the central government use its fiscal and monetary policy tools to stimulate growth? And what does Beijing want to achieve with the newly proposed plans to create a “unified domestic market”?
For the second part, we’re turning to the French presidential election. Speaking at a more than one-hour long news conference, Marine Le Pen, the far-right presidential candidate, revealed her outlook for France and its relationship with other countries. She presented much different foreign polices than those from President Emmanuel Macron. Winning the first round voting of the French election, Macron and Le Pen will advance to the second round next Sunday. The final runoff will be a rematch of the 2017 presidential election. Is this a case of déjà vu, or is it a whole new contest? And how could the results influence the wider European and global politics?
