7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Foodbank sees huge increase in demand during Sydney COVID lockdown | 7NEWS” – below is their description.
Foodbank NSW & ACT has seen a huge increase in demand for support during the state’s extended COVID lockdown. Usually relying on corporate volunteers to assist with hamper deliveries, emergency services have been helping to pack 7,500 hampers each week to ship food to where it’s needed most. Residents who need support are urged to contact Foodbank.
“Sadly right now there are more and more people looking for support, and there’s no shame in reaching out for support. If you’re in need, you can contact Foodbank and we’ll happily help you out to make sure you can put food on the table,” says Foodbank NSW-ACT CEO John Robertson.
