Attempting to offset carbon emissions to combat climate change is becoming more important for companies around the world.<\/p>
One new permanent solution is to convert unwanted biomass from farmers’ fields or forest debris – which contains carbon – into oil.<\/p>
San Francisco start-up Charm Industrial says it can offer permanent carbon removal, by converting and pumping this oil it back into the ground.<\/p>
“If we inject this underground… that is removing carbon from the biosphere,” said company co-founder Kelly Kinetic.<\/p>
